Getting There

Walking
Start from the center of Strendur, near the local grocery store, called 'Føroya Bjór'. Head south on the main road, 'Vøttastigur', towards the coastline. Continue walking along the coastline path, which will lead you through scenic views of the ocean. After about 20 minutes, you will reach a fork in the path. Take the left path that leads towards 'Skorpisoyrarvegur'. Continue straight for another 10 minutes until you see a sign for Langasandur. The scenic spot will be on your right, accessible by a short walk down a grassy slope.

Bicycle
If you have access to a bicycle, start at the Strendur community center. Ride south on 'Vøttastigur', then turn right onto 'Skorpisoyrarvegur'. This route will take you along the coast with picturesque scenery. It’s approximately a 5 km ride, which should take around 15-20 minutes. Look for the signs indicating Langasandur as you approach the area.

Although public transport options in Strendur are limited, check the local bus schedule for routes heading toward the nearby village of Skálavík. If available, take the bus to Skálavík and then walk back towards Strendur, following the coastline. After about 30 minutes, you’ll come across Langasandur on your left.
