Getting There

    Start your journey in Strendur by heading towards the main road, Ytsti, which runs through the village. Walk in the direction of the Tórshavn ferry terminal, as you will be making your way towards the capital, Tórshavn. Continue walking straight for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the intersection with the main road leading to Tórshavn. At this point, you will see signs directing you towards Tórshavn. Follow the signs to Tórshavn, which will take you onto the road known as Yviri við Strond. Continue walking for approximately 5 kilometers along Yviri við Strond, and you will arrive at Skansin. The landmark is located near the waterfront, and you will see the historical fortress and beautiful views of the harbor as you approach.

    From Strendur, walk to the nearest bus stop and catch a bus heading to Tórshavn. The bus ride will take around 20 minutes. Once you arrive in Tórshavn, get off at the stop closest to the waterfront district. From there, follow the signs towards the harbor area.
