From the center of Strendur, head northwest on the main road (Route 1) toward the village of Múlagjógv. Follow the road for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the T-junction. At the junction, turn left toward Eiði. Continue walking along this road for approximately 3 kilometers, enjoying the scenic views of the surrounding landscape. After about 3 kilometers, you will see a sign for Slættaratindur. Follow the trail leading from the road to the base of the mountain. The trail will guide you up to Slættaratindur, which is the highest peak in the Faroe Islands.

Once you reach the base of Slættaratindur, you'll find a well-marked hiking trail. The hike to the summit is approximately 4 kilometers one way and takes about 2-3 hours depending on your fitness level. The trail is steep in parts and may be rocky, so wear appropriate footwear. Follow the signs along the trail, and take breaks as needed to enjoy the breathtaking views. Once you reach the summit at 880 meters, you'll be rewarded with panoramic views of the surrounding islands and the Atlantic Ocean.
