Walking
If you are starting from the center of Strendur, head southwest towards the main road (Route 1). Continue walking for approximately 15-20 minutes until you reach the Tórshavn Ferry Terminal. From there, you can catch a ferry to Tórshavn. Once you arrive at Tórshavn, walk towards the city center. After exiting the ferry terminal, head straight on Niels Finsens Gøta street and follow it until you reach the intersection with Tinganes. Tinganes is along the waterfront and is easily recognizable by its picturesque wooden houses.
Bus
From Strendur, take the local bus (line 300) heading to Tórshavn. Buses are relatively frequent, so check the schedule at the bus stop. The journey takes around 30 minutes. Once you arrive at the Tórshavn bus terminal, exit and head towards the waterfront. Walk straight down the main road until you reach Tinganes, which is along the water's edge. The scenic views along the way will help guide you.
Bicycle
If you are renting a bicycle, start from the center of Strendur and cycle south along Route 1. The route is well-marked and takes approximately 25-30 minutes. As you approach Tórshavn, keep an eye out for signs leading to the city center. Once you reach Tórshavn, park your bicycle near the waterfront and walk towards Tinganes by following the path along the shore, which will lead you directly to this historic area.
