Walking
From the center of Strendur, head north on the main road (Road 10). Continue walking for approximately 1.5 kilometers until you reach the junction with Road 11. At this junction, turn right onto Road 11 and follow it for about 2 kilometers. You will pass through scenic landscapes and may encounter some local farms. Keep an eye out for signs pointing towards Sandavágur. After 2 kilometers, you will reach the village of Sandavágur. Once you arrive in Sandavágur, look for the path leading towards Trælanípa, which is well-marked. Follow the path, which is about 1 kilometer long, and leads you up the mountain. The hike will take around 30-40 minutes, depending on your pace. Enjoy the breathtaking views as you approach Trælanípa!

From Strendur, walk to the nearest bus stop and catch the bus heading towards Sandavágur. The bus service is usually available several times a day. The ride to Sandavágur will take approximately 15-20 minutes. Once you arrive in Sandavágur, disembark at the main bus stop. From there, follow the signs that direct you towards Trælanípa. The path will be well-marked, and it is about a 1 kilometer walk from the bus stop to the base of Trælanípa, which will take you around 15-20 minutes. As you hike up the mountain, enjoy the stunning views of the surrounding landscapes.
