If you are driving, start by heading towards Tórshavn, the capital city of the Faroe Islands. From anywhere on Vágar Island, follow the main road (Route 40) towards the east until you reach the junction for Route 10. Take Route 10 towards Tórshavn. Continue on this road for about 30 km until you get to the outskirts of Tórshavn. As you approach the city, look for signs directing you to Bryggjubakki. Turn onto Bryggjubakki street and you will find Trappan located at the end of the street. There is free parking available near the site.

To reach Trappan by public transportation, take a bus from any location on Vágar Island to Tórshavn. Bus services run frequently, and you can check the schedules at local bus stops or online. Once you arrive at the Tórshavn bus terminal, you can either walk or take a local bus to Bryggjubakki. The walk is approximately 15 minutes; simply head towards the waterfront and follow the signs to Bryggjubakki.
