From Halti, start your journey by driving south on Route 21. Continue for approximately 45-50 kilometers until you reach the junction with E75. Take the exit onto E75 towards Helsinki. Follow E75 for about 200 kilometers, which will lead you directly into the heart of Helsinki. Once you arrive in Helsinki, take the exit toward 'Keskusta' (City Center). Follow the signs for 'Kauppatori' (Market Square) and 'Senate Square'. The Helsinki Cathedral is located at Unioninkatu 29, 00170 Helsinki. There is limited street parking available around the cathedral, and parking fees may apply, so be sure to check local parking regulations.
Public Transportation
To reach Helsinki Cathedral from Halti using public transportation, first, take the bus from Halti to Rovaniemi. The bus ride takes about 2 hours and tickets typically cost around €30. From Rovaniemi, catch a train to Helsinki. The train journey will take approximately 8 hours, and prices start from about €40, depending on the time of booking. Once you arrive at Helsinki Central Station, exit the station and head towards the tram stop. Take tram number 3 or 7 to 'Senate Square'. The Helsinki Cathedral is a short walk from the tram stop. The tram fare is around €3 for a single trip.
