    If you are near Market Square ('Kauppatori'), walk towards Esplanadi Park. Enter the park from the main entrance and continue straight on the main path. The Stone Ball Stairs are at the southern end of the park. Look for the large stone ball at the staircase entrance.

    From Helsinki Central Station, walk to the nearby Rautatientori tram stop. Take tram number 4 or 10 towards 'Kumpula' or 'Katajanokka' respectively. Ride for 3 stops and get off at 'Helsingin yliopisto' (University of Helsinki). Walk south along Fabianinkatu until you reach Aleksanterinkatu. Turn left and walk until you arrive at Pohjoisesplanadi. Continue straight until you reach Mannerheimintie.
