Walking
From Kallio, head towards the Kumpula campus area. Start at the intersection of Alppiharjun puisto and Helsinginkatu. Continue straight on Helsinginkatu until you reach the intersection with Unioninkatu. Turn right onto Unioninkatu and you will see Helsinki Cathedral directly ahead. The walk will take approximately 20-25 minutes.
Public Transport - Tram
If you prefer not to walk, you can take tram number 3 from Kumpulantie tram stop. Board the tram heading towards 'Helsinki City Centre'. Get off at the 'Kauppatori' stop. From there, walk to Unioninkatu, where you will find Helsinki Cathedral. The tram ride will take around 10 minutes, and tickets cost approximately €2.90.
Public Transport - Bus
Alternatively, you can take bus number 23 from the Kallio area. Board at the nearest bus stop and choose a route that heads towards 'Helsinki Central Station'. After arriving at the Central Station, walk straight towards Unioninkatu where Helsinki Cathedral is located. The bus journey typically takes around 15-20 minutes, and a ticket will cost about €2.90.
