If you are in Kallio, one of the best ways to reach Tanner's Gate is by walking. Start from the intersection of Helsinginkatu and Hämeentie. Head southeast on Hämeentie, and continue walking for about 10 minutes. You will pass by various shops and cafes along the way. Keep an eye out for the large sculpture as you approach it; it will be on your right side at the intersection of Hämeentie and Alppiharjun katu.

You can also take Tram Line 3 from Kallio to reach Tanner's Gate. Find the nearest tram stop (such as the Kumpula or Kumpula, Vellamo stop) and board Tram 3 heading toward the Railway Station.
