Continue on Highway 12 for about 45 kilometers until you reach the junction for Mäntyharju. Take the exit towards Mäntyharju and follow the signs to the center of Mäntyharju. Once in the town, follow the local roads to the lake area, which is located at 52980 Mäntyharju. Parking is generally available near the lake.

To reach Päijänne via public transportation, start by taking a bus from Lahti to Mäntyharju. The bus services are operated by VR and Matkahuolto. Check the schedules online or at the station; the journey typically takes about 1 hour and 30 minutes. Once you arrive at the Mäntyharju bus station, you can walk to the lake. It is approximately a 15-minute walk from the bus station to the lakeside area.
