Walking
From the center of Rovaniemi, start at the Rovaniemi Tourist Information Center located at Korkalonkatu 25. Head east along Korkalonkatu street, then turn left onto Rautatiekatu. Continue walking until you reach the intersection with Ahojokikatu. Turn right onto Ahojokikatu and keep walking until you reach the Ounasjoki River. Cross the bridge over the river, and you will find yourself on Ounasvaarantie. Follow Ounasvaarantie as it curves to the left and leads you directly to the Ounasvaara Winter Trail entrance.

From the Rovaniemi city center, walk to the nearest bus stop on Korkalonkatu. Take bus number 8 towards Ounasvaara. The bus ride will take approximately 15-20 minutes. Get off at the Ounasvaara stop. From there, follow the signs leading to Ounasvaara Winter Trail. The trailhead is a short walk from the bus stop.

If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike from one of the many rental shops in Rovaniemi. Start from the city center and head towards the river on Korkalonkatu.
