From Ruka, head northwest on Rukatunturintie toward Tiilikkalantie. After approximately 1 km, turn left onto the E75 highway (Route 5) heading toward Rovaniemi. Continue for about 37 km. Take the exit toward Tervola/Rovaniemi and merge onto the E75 highway. After about 9 km, take exit 6 toward Rovaniemi/Kemi. Continue for another 12 km, and then take the exit for Auttikönkääntie. Follow Auttikönkääntie for about 5 km, and you will reach Auttiköngäs at Auttikönkääntie 119.

From Ruka, take a bus towards Rovaniemi. The bus will depart from the Ruka bus station. The journey takes about 1 hour and costs around €10. Once you arrive in Rovaniemi, transfer to a local bus heading to Auttiköngäs. Check the local bus schedules for departure times and routes; the ticket will cost approximately €5. The Auttiköngäs stop is located close to the scenic area.
