From Ruka, start your journey by heading south on the main road (Route 5). Continue on this road for about 45 kilometers until you reach the junction for Route 891. Turn left onto Route 891 and drive for approximately 15 kilometers. You will then see signs for Hossa National Park directing you to Jatkonsalmentie. Follow the signs for another 10 kilometers, and you will arrive at the Hossa National Park visitor center located at Jatkonsalmentie 6, 89920 Suomussalmi.
