    If you are driving from Ruka center, head southwest on Rukankyläntie toward Rukajärventie. Continue for approximately 7 kilometers. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Rukatunturintie. After about 1 kilometer, turn right onto MunPolku road. The trailhead for MunPolku MyTrail will be on your left. Ensure you have a map or GPS device for precise navigation.

    Take the local bus service from Ruka to the nearest bus stop that services MunPolku. Buses typically run every hour, and you can catch one from the Ruka bus station. Ask the bus driver to drop you off at the closest stop to MunPolku MyTrail. From there, it’s about a 10-minute walk: head along the path towards the trailhead, which will be marked.

  • Walking from Ruka

    If you prefer to walk, start from Ruka center and head southwest on Rukankyläntie. After about 7 kilometers, you will reach the MunPolku road. Turn right here, and the trailhead will be on your left, approximately a 15-minute walk from this turn.
