Car
From Ruka, head east on the Rukatunturintie road towards the main road (Route 5). Continue on Rukatunturintie for about 2 km. Turn left onto Route 5 and follow the signs to Kuusamo. After approximately 17 km, keep an eye out for signs to Rukatunturi. Turn right onto Rukatunturi road and follow this for another 5 km until you reach the peak. There is a parking area available at the base of Rukatunturi.

After about a 30-minute ride, disembark at the stop for Rukatunturi. From the bus stop, it is about a 1 km walk to the base of Rukatunturi. Follow the path signs leading towards the mountain peak.
