Car
To reach Varjola by car from Ruka, start by heading south on the E63 highway. Follow the signs for Kuusamo and continue on the E63 for approximately 40 km. Take the exit toward Highway 5 (E75) and merge onto it. Continue for about 20 km, then take the exit toward Kuusa. Follow Vilppulantie for about 5 km, and Varjola will be on your left at Vilppulantie 51, 41370 Kuusa. Parking is available on-site.

To reach Varjola using public transportation, start at the Ruka bus stop (located in the center of Ruka). Take a bus towards Kuusamo. Buses operate several times a day, and the journey will take approximately 30 minutes. Upon arriving at Kuusamo bus station, transfer to a local bus heading towards Kuusa. This bus ride will take about 20 minutes. Get off at the stop closest to Vilppulantie. From there, it’s a short walk (approximately 1 km) to Varjola at Vilppulantie 51, 41370 Kuusa.
