Car
If you are traveling by car, set your GPS to Niskapietiläntie 32, 55910 Imatra. From the center of Lappeenranta, take Route 6 towards Imatra. Continue on Route 6 for about 30 kilometers until you reach Imatra. Once you enter Imatra, follow the signs directing you to the city center, and then look for signs to the Imatra Border Museum. There is free parking available near the museum.
Public Transportation - Bus
To reach Imatra Border Museum by bus, head to the Lappeenranta bus station. You can take a bus operated by OnniBus or VR to Imatra. The journey takes approximately 40-50 minutes. Once you arrive at Imatra bus station, exit the station and walk towards the city center. The museum is about a 20-minute walk from the bus station. Alternatively, you can take a local bus (such as line 1 or 2) that stops near Niskapietiläntie.
Public Transportation - Train
If you prefer to travel by train, take the train from Lappeenranta to Imatra. The train ride is approximately 30 minutes. After arriving at Imatra train station, you can either walk (around 30 minutes) or take a local bus to reach Niskapietiläntie 32, where the museum is located. Check the local bus schedules at the station for convenience.
