Car
If you are traveling by car, start from the center of Turku and head southeast on Route 1 (E18) towards Naantali. Continue on Route 1 for about 20 kilometers until you reach the junction for Route 180. Merge onto Route 180 and follow the signs for the Turku Archipelago. After approximately 15 kilometers, turn onto the ferry at the Maanpää terminal, which will take you to the island of Maanpää. The ferry operates regularly, and there is a charge for vehicle transport – expect to pay around €10-€15 depending on the size of your vehicle. Once you arrive on Maanpää, follow the local signs to Laurinkärki, which is located on the peninsula.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, start by taking a bus from Turku city center to Naantali. Buses are operated by Föli and run frequently. Once in Naantali, you will need to transfer to a local bus that heads towards the Maanpää ferry terminal. The bus ride should take about 30 minutes. After arriving at the ferry terminal, you will need to purchase a ticket for the ferry to Maanpää, which should cost around €5 for a passenger. After disembarking on Maanpää, follow the signs directing you to Laurinkärki, which is a short walk from the ferry terminal.
Use Laurinkärki as your starting point for nearby food, family ideas, nightlife, and more local discoveries.
