From any location in Uusimaa, make your way to Helsinki city center. If you're starting from the Helsinki Central Railway Station, you can take the tram line 2 or 6 to the Market Square (Kauppatori). Once you arrive at the Market Square, head to the ferry terminal, which is well signposted. Ferries to Suomenlinna depart frequently, and you can purchase your ticket from the ticket counter or use the HSL mobile app. A round-trip ticket costs approximately €5.50 for adults. The ferry ride takes about 15-20 minutes, and you'll enjoy beautiful views of the archipelago.

If you're driving, head towards Helsinki. From Uusimaa, take the E18 highway, which will lead you towards the city. Once you reach the city, follow signs for the city center and look for parking options. Note that there is no direct parking available on Suomenlinna, so you'll need to park in one of the city’s public parking facilities. After parking, walk to the Market Square (Kauppatori) to catch the ferry. Ferries to Suomenlinna are located at the eastern end of the square.
