Car
If you are driving, start from anywhere in Uusimaa and head towards Helsinki. Use the E18 highway to reach Helsinki. Once in the city, follow the signs towards the city center. As you approach the center, take the exit toward Lönnrotin puistikko. The sculpture of Elias Lönnrot is located in Lönnrotin puistikko, which is a park area. There is limited street parking available nearby, so be prepared to find a parking space and walk a short distance to the sculpture.
Public Transportation
For public transportation, take a train from any station in Uusimaa to Helsinki Central Station (Helsingin päärautatieasema). From there, you can either walk to Lönnrotin puistikko (approximately a 15-minute walk) or take tram number 3, which goes towards the direction of Lönnrotin puistikko. If you choose the tram, get off at the 'Lönnrotin puistikko' stop. The tram ticket costs around €2.80 for a single journey. The sculpture is located within the park area, easy to spot once you arrive.
