If you are traveling by car, start from downtown Jacksonville. Head east on E Adams St toward S Main St, then turn left onto US-17 N. Follow US-17 N for about 10 miles. Merge onto I-295 N via the ramp on the left toward I-95 N. Continue on I-295 N for about 3 miles, then take exit 40B to merge onto FL-9A N toward Jacksonville Beaches. After about 5 miles, take exit 42 for Mt Pleasant Rd. Turn left onto Mt Pleasant Rd. The Theodore Roosevelt Area at Timucuan Preserve will be on your right at 13165 Mt Pleasant Rd, Jacksonville, FL 32225. Be aware that parking is free at the preserve.
