    To reach Lauderdale-by-the-Sea Beach by car from Fort Lauderdale Beach, start by heading north on A1A (North Ocean Boulevard). Continue straight for about 2.5 miles. You will pass several beach access points along the way. Once you reach the intersection with Commercial Boulevard, turn left. After approximately 0.5 miles, turn right onto North Ocean Drive. The beach will be ahead on your right. Parking is available in nearby public lots, which may charge a fee of approximately $1.00 per hour.

  • Public Transportation (Bus)

    To get to Lauderdale-by-the-Sea Beach using public transportation, you can take the Broward County Transit bus. From Fort Lauderdale Beach, walk to the nearest bus stop on A1A. Board the Route 11 bus heading northbound towards Pompano Beach. Stay on the bus for about 20-30 minutes, and get off at the stop at Commercial Boulevard and North Ocean Drive. From there, walk east on Commercial Boulevard until you reach the beach. The bus fare is approximately $2.00.
