Getting There

Car
If you are driving, head south on the Gold Coast Highway (A1) towards the southern end of the Gold Coast. You will need to merge onto the M1 Motorway heading north towards Brisbane. Follow the M1, then take the exit toward the M3/State Route 1 sign for the Gold Coast. Continue until you reach the junction with the Pacific Motorway (M1) and merge onto it. Follow the signs for the Sunshine Coast and stay on the M1 until you reach Miami. Take exit 77 towards Gold Coast Airport and follow the signs to Key Biscayne. Once in Key Biscayne, follow Cape Florida Park Blvd to reach Cape Florida Beach. Note that parking fees may apply at the beach entrance.

To reach Cape Florida Beach via public transport, start by taking a bus from your location in Gold Coast to the nearest train station, such as the Helensvale Station. From there, take the train to the Miami Central Station. Once you arrive at Miami Central, transfer to a local bus that heads towards Key Biscayne. Be sure to check the bus schedule in advance, as service may vary. After arriving in Key Biscayne, disembark at the stop closest to Cape Florida Park Blvd, and walk the remaining distance to the beach. This method may take longer than driving, so plan accordingly.
