From the entrance of the Homosassa Springs Wildlife State Park, head straight along the main path. You will pass the visitor center on your left. Continue walking until you reach the first intersection and keep to the right. This will take you toward the riverbank. Follow the signs that indicate 'Monkey Island.' There will be a short trail leading to a viewing area where you can see the island.

If you're interested in a closer view of Monkey Island, you can opt for a boat tour. These tours typically leave from the park's boat dock. Please check the schedule at the visitor center for times and availability. The cost for a boat tour is separate from park admission, generally around $15 per person. After booking your ticket, wait at the designated dock area, and the staff will guide you on when to board.
