From central Lake Okeechobee, head east on US-441 N toward E North Park St. Continue for about 6 miles until you reach the junction with FL-78 E. Take a left onto FL-78 E and continue for approximately 12 miles. You will then come to a traffic circle; take the second exit onto McArthur Rd. After 3 miles, Hickory Hammock Wildlife Management Area will be on your right at 4900 McArthur Rd, Basinger, FL 34972. There is no entry fee to access the area.
