Car
If you are traveling by car, start by getting onto I-95 N or I-75 N depending on your location in Northeast Florida. Follow the signs for I-10 W towards Lake City. Take exit 289 for US-17 S towards Palatka. Continue on US-17 S for approximately 30 miles until you reach Palatka. Once in Palatka, turn left onto Twigg St. Ravine Gardens State Park will be on your left at 1600 Twigg St, Palatka, FL 32177. There is a small entrance fee for vehicles.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, take a Greyhound or Trailways bus to Palatka from major cities like Jacksonville or Orlando. Once you arrive at the Palatka bus station, you will need to either take a taxi or use a ride-sharing service like Uber or Lyft to reach Ravine Gardens State Park. The park is approximately 2 miles from the bus station, so the taxi ride should be short and cost-effective.
Biking
If you are feeling adventurous and are in good shape, you can also bike to Ravine Gardens State Park from Palatka. Rent a bike or bring your own, and follow the scenic routes along the St. Johns River to Twigg St. The park is very bike-friendly and offers bike racks for your convenience.
Walking
For those who are staying in downtown Palatka or nearby, walking to Ravine Gardens State Park can be a lovely experience. The park is about a 30-minute walk (approximately 1.5 miles) from the downtown area. Head south on US-17 and turn left onto Twigg St. The park entrance will be on your left.
