Car
From anywhere on Sanibel Island, head towards Periwinkle Way (the main road running east-west). If you’re coming from the eastern part of the island, turn onto Periwinkle Way from the east. Continue on Periwinkle Way until you reach the roundabout. Take the first exit onto Tarpon Bay Road. Follow Tarpon Bay Road for about 1.5 miles until you reach Bowman's Beach Road. Turn right onto Bowman's Beach Road. Follow this road for about 0.5 miles until you see the entrance to Bowman's Beach Parking on your left at 1700 Bowmans Beach Rd. Note that there is a parking fee of approximately $5 per vehicle.
Public Transportation
If you prefer using public transportation, check the local bus service on Sanibel Island. The Sanibel Island Transit offers routes that connect various parts of the island. You would need to catch the bus heading towards the beach and get off at the nearest stop to Bowman's Beach Parking. Be sure to check the schedule in advance as service may be limited, especially on weekends. Once you arrive at the bus stop, it will be a short walk to the entrance of Bowman's Beach.
Biking
For a more adventurous option, you can rent a bike from one of the rental shops on Sanibel Island. Follow the bike paths from your location towards Periwinkle Way. Once on Periwinkle Way, make your way to Tarpon Bay Road, then turn right onto Bowman's Beach Road. The bike ride is scenic, and you’ll get to enjoy the natural beauty of the island. Make sure to lock your bike at the Bowman's Beach Parking area.
