To reach Egmont Key State Park, you will first need to make your way to Fort De Soto Park. From anywhere in Sarasota, take a public bus or a rideshare service to the nearest bus stop that connects to the 99 bus route heading towards St. Petersburg. Once you arrive at Fort De Soto Park, you can catch the ferry to Egmont Key. The ferry departs from the Fort De Soto Park boat ramp. Make sure to check the ferry schedule beforehand, as it operates on a limited schedule, especially during off-peak hours. Enjoy the scenic ride to the island!
