To reach Pinellas Bayway using public transportation, head to the nearest bus stop. If you are in downtown Sarasota, locate the Sarasota County Area Transit (SCAT) bus stop. Take Bus Route 99 towards the Sarasota-Bradenton Airport. Disembark at the bus stop at 3010 University Parkway. From there, transfer to Bus Route 20 towards St. Petersburg. Stay on the bus until you arrive at the Pinellas Bayway stop. Once you get off, follow the pedestrian path that leads to the Bayway.

If you prefer cycling, rent a bike from one of the local bike-sharing services available in Sarasota. Start from downtown Sarasota and head south on the Legacy Trail.
