Walking
If you are starting from the Historic District of St. Augustine, head east on King Street towards the Matanzas River. Once you reach the river, turn right onto the waterfront and follow the path alongside the river until you reach the Bridge of Lions. Cross the bridge and continue straight onto Anastasia Boulevard. After crossing, you will be walking on a path that leads directly toward the mainland. Keep walking straight and you will eventually reach Coastal Highway. Turn left onto Coastal Highway, and Castle Otttis will be on your right side.
Bicycle
For those who prefer cycling, rent a bike from one of the many rental shops in the Historic District. Start by heading east on King Street towards the Matanzas River. Once you reach the river, turn right and cycle along the waterfront until you reach the Bridge of Lions. Cross the bridge, and then take a left onto Anastasia Boulevard. Cycle straight until you reach Coastal Highway, then turn left. Castle Otttis will be on your right. This route offers scenic views along the waterfront.

From the Historic District, find the nearest bus stop and board the bus that heads towards Anastasia Island. Make sure to ask the driver for the nearest stop to Coastal Highway.
