If you're traveling by car in St. Petersburg Beach, start by heading towards Gulf Boulevard. From Gulf Boulevard, turn onto 1st Ave. Follow 1st Ave until it dead-ends at the beach access point. There is a small parking lot nearby, but be advised that parking can be limited, especially during peak hours. There may be a parking fee, usually around $2-$3 per hour, so make sure to have some change or a credit card ready.
Public Transportation
To reach 1st Ave beach access using public transportation, take the PSTA (Pinellas Suncoast Transit Authority) bus route 18, which runs along Gulf Boulevard. Depending on your starting point in St. Petersburg Beach, board the bus heading towards Pass-a-Grille Beach. Get off at the stop closest to 1st Ave (check the PSTA schedule for exact stops). From there, it’s a short walk down 1st Ave where you will find the beach access. The bus fare is approximately $2, and make sure to have exact change or a PSTA bus pass.
