Bus
From downtown St. Petersburg, walk to the nearest bus stop on 1st Avenue N. and catch the PSTA (Pinellas Suncoast Transit Authority) bus number 18, which heads towards St. Pete Beach. Make sure to check the bus schedule for exact timings. Stay on the bus for approximately 30-40 minutes until you reach the St. Pete Beach stop. Once you disembark, follow the signs towards the beach which is just a short walk away.
Trolley
If you are in the downtown area, you can hop on the Beach Trolley (Route 66) which runs frequently. Board the trolley at the nearest stop and enjoy a scenic ride towards St. Pete Beach. The trolley service operates from 10 AM to 10 PM. After around 40 minutes, get off at the St. Pete Beach stop. From there, it's a short walk to the beach area.
Bicycle Rental
For a more active approach, consider renting a bicycle from one of the local rental shops in downtown St. Petersburg. Head west on 1st Avenue S. towards the Pinellas Trail. Follow the trail which leads you directly to the beach area. The ride will take approximately 30 minutes, depending on your pace. Once you reach St. Pete Beach, park your bike at the designated bike racks and enjoy the beach.
Walking
If you are staying at a hotel near the waterfront, you might enjoy a long walk to St. Pete Beach. Head west along the waterfront, following the scenic paths and boardwalks. The walk will take about 1.5 to 2 hours, but you will be rewarded with beautiful views of the Gulf of Mexico. Keep walking until you reach the sands of St. Pete Beach.
