From downtown Stuart, head east on East Ocean Boulevard towards US-1. Continue straight for about 1 mile until you reach US-1. Turn left onto US-1 North and walk for approximately 5 miles. You will see the entrance to Nathaniel P. Reed Hobe Sound National Wildlife Refuge on your right at 13640 SE Federal Hwy. The total walking distance is about 6 miles and will take approximately 2 hours.

If you have access to a bicycle, start from downtown Stuart and ride east on East Ocean Boulevard until you reach US-1. Turn left onto US-1 North and cycle for about 5 miles.
