Getting There

• Car

  From central Sun Coast, head southeast on FL-70 E. Continue on FL-70 E for about 15 miles until you reach the intersection with US-1. Turn right onto US-1 S and follow it for approximately 5 miles. Take a left onto N Indian River Dr, and you'll find the Manatee Observation and Education Center on your left at 480 N Indian River Dr, Fort Pierce, FL 34950. Parking is available on-site, but please check for any fees.

• Public Transportation

  If you prefer public transportation, take the local bus service (check routes for the Sun Coast area) to Fort Pierce. Once in Fort Pierce, transfer to the bus route that services Indian River Drive. Get off at the nearest stop to 480 N Indian River Dr. Depending on the bus service, there may be a small fare required, typically around $1.50-$2.00. Be sure to check the bus schedules for exact timings.

• Bicycle

  For those looking to bike, start from central Sun Coast and take the scenic route along the waterfront. Follow the designated bike paths leading to Fort Pierce. Once you reach N Indian River Dr, continue until you arrive at the Manatee Observation and Education Center. Remember to wear a helmet and follow local cycling rules. There are bike racks available at the center.
