Walking
If you are starting from downtown Tallahassee, head north on S Monroe St toward E Jefferson St. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with E Tennessee St. Turn left onto E Tennessee St and walk for about 1.2 miles. You will pass by several shops and restaurants. At the intersection with N Martin Luther King Jr Blvd, continue straight onto E Paul Russell Rd. Walk for another 1.5 miles. You will cross over a bridge and see the Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare on your left. Continue until you reach Pedrick Rd. Turn left onto Pedrick Rd, and J. R. Alford Greenway will be on your right after about 0.5 miles.

From downtown Tallahassee, take the StarMetro bus route 1 towards 'Killearn'. Board the bus at the nearest bus stop on W Madison St. Stay on the bus until you reach the stop at 'Monticello Rd & Pedrick Rd'. This journey will take approximately 30 minutes. Once you get off, walk south on Pedrick Rd for about 0.3 miles, and you will arrive at J. R. Alford Greenway, which will be on your left.
