Walking
If you are starting from downtown Tallahassee, head north on S Monroe St toward E Jefferson St. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with E Tennessee St. Turn left onto E Tennessee St and walk for about 1.2 miles. You will pass by several shops and restaurants. At the intersection with N Martin Luther King Jr Blvd, continue straight onto E Paul Russell Rd. Walk for another 1.5 miles. You will cross over a bridge and see the Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare on your left. Continue until you reach Pedrick Rd. Turn left onto Pedrick Rd, and J. R. Alford Greenway will be on your right after about 0.5 miles.

Bus
From downtown Tallahassee, take the StarMetro bus route 1 towards 'Killearn'. Board the bus at the nearest bus stop on W Madison St. Stay on the bus until you reach the stop at 'Monticello Rd & Pedrick Rd'. This journey will take approximately 30 minutes. Once you get off, walk south on Pedrick Rd for about 0.3 miles, and you will arrive at J. R. Alford Greenway, which will be on your left.

If you prefer biking, you can rent a bike from one of the many bike-sharing stations around downtown Tallahassee. Start from the bike station nearest to the Florida State Capitol. Head north toward E Tennessee St and turn left. Continue on E Tennessee St until you reach N Martin Luther King Jr Blvd. Turn left and bike along this road until you reach E Paul Russell Rd. Make a right and continue for about 1.5 miles. Turn left onto Pedrick Rd, and J. R. Alford Greenway will be on your right after approximately 0.5 miles.
