Getting There

• Walking

  If you are in Downtown Tampa, you can walk to the Tampa Bay History Center located at 801 Water St. Start by heading towards the Riverwalk, which is easily accessible from most areas in Downtown. Follow the Riverwalk heading south along the waterfront until you reach the intersection with Water Street. The History Center will be on your left. This walk typically takes around 15-20 minutes, depending on your starting point.

• Tampa Streetcar

  To use the Tampa Streetcar, find the nearest streetcar stop in Downtown Tampa. Board the streetcar heading towards the 'Cumberland Avenue' station. Get off at the 'Channelside' stop. From there, it's about a 10-minute walk to the History Center. Exit the streetcar and head west toward Water Street, then turn right and continue walking until you see the History Center on your left. Note that the streetcar fare is $2.50 per ride.

• Public Bus

  You can take the HART bus service to get to the Tampa Bay History Center. Look for bus routes that stop near your location and take Route 2 or Route 12. Check the HART website or use a bus app to find the nearest bus stop. Get off at the bus stop on Water Street. From there, the History Center is just a short walk. The bus fare is $2.00.
