Driving
From the center of Huez, follow the Route du Signal, which is well-marked. The Alpe d'Huez hiking area is located near the top of the mountain, close to the Signal de l'Homme. Parking is available along the Route du Signal, but it can be limited during peak season. Arrive early to secure a spot. Parking is free. Be aware that the road can be steep and winding in places.

Public Transport
From the Alpe d'Huez bus station, take the local bus that goes towards the top of the mountain. Get off at the stop closest to the Route du Signal. From there, it's a short walk to the Alpe d'Huez hiking area. Bus tickets can be purchased at the bus station or directly from the driver. A single ticket costs approximately €3.

Walking
From the center of Alpe d'Huez, follow the well-marked hiking trails that lead towards the Signal de l'Homme. The trails are steep in places, but they offer stunning views of the surrounding mountains. Allow approximately 1-2 hours to reach the Alpe d'Huez hiking area on foot. Ensure you have appropriate footwear and clothing for mountain hiking.

Cable Car
During summer months, the Télévillage cable car provides access from the lower part of Alpe d'Huez to the Vieil Alpe area. From there, follow signs towards Route du Signal and the hiking area. A single ride on the Télévillage costs approximately €6.50. Check the operating hours before planning your trip.
