From the center of Huez, follow the Route du Signal, which is well-marked. The Alpe d'Huez hiking area is located near the top of the mountain, close to the Signal de l'Homme. Parking is available along the Route du Signal, but it can be limited during peak season. Arrive early to secure a spot. Parking is free. Be aware that the road can be steep and winding in places.
