Walking
From the Palais des Papes, walk towards the northern side of the Place du Palais. Follow the flower-lined path or take the ramp leading uphill. Alternatively, use the Sainte-Anne staircase located behind the Palais des Papes. Both routes lead directly to the entrance of Rocher des Doms. The walk is approximately 5 minutes and offers scenic views along the way.
Public Transport
From Avignon Centre train station, take the Orizo bus line to the 'Place du Palais' stop. From there, walk towards the Palais des Papes and follow the walking directions. A single bus ticket costs €1.40. Alternatively, from other locations in Avignon, use the tram line T1 and get off at a stop near the city center, then walk to the Palais des Papes.
Taxi/Ride-Share
A taxi or ride-share from Avignon Centre train station to the entrance of Palais des Papes will cost approximately €10-€15, depending on traffic. From there, follow the walking directions to Rocher des Doms. Note that vehicle access to the immediate vicinity of the Palais des Papes is restricted.
