Getting There

• Car

  If you're traveling by car from the heart of Bordeaux, start by heading northeast on Cours de l’Intendance toward Rue de la Bourse. Continue onto Quai des Chartrons (D2) and follow signs for the A630. Merge onto A630 and then take exit 4 for Bordeaux-Lac. Continue straight onto Avenue du Lac and follow signs for Passerelle du Lac. There is parking available nearby, but take note that there might be a fee depending on the duration of your stay.

• Public Transportation (Tram)

  For those using public transport, take Tram Line C from the city center (e.g., from Place de la Bourse or Gare Saint-Jean). Ride the tram towards Parc des Expositions and get off at the 'Parc des Expositions' stop. From there, it’s about a 15-minute walk to Passerelle du Lac. Head northeast on Avenue Jean Gabriel Domergue, then turn left onto Avenue du Lac. Follow the path toward the waterfront, and you'll see the beautiful Passerelle.

• Bicycle

  If you're feeling adventurous, renting a bike is a fantastic way to reach Passerelle du Lac. You can find bike rental stations throughout Bordeaux. Once you have your bike, head towards the river on Quai des Chartrons. Follow the bike path along the riverbank heading north until you reach the Passerelle du Lac. The ride is scenic and allows you to enjoy the beautiful views of the Bordeaux waterfront.

• Walking

  For those who prefer a leisurely stroll, you can walk to Passerelle du Lac from various points in the city. If you are near the Bordeaux waterfront, simply follow the walking paths along the Garonne River. Enjoy the sights and sounds of the area as you head toward the Passerelle. Depending on your starting point, this can take anywhere from 30 minutes to over an hour, so plan accordingly.
