The Château de Sully, located in the rolling hills of Burgundy, offers visitors a captivating journey through French history and architecture. Begun in the second half of the 16th century, the château has been home to notable figures, including Maréchal Maurice de Mac Mahon, the first President of the French Republic to reside in the Élysée Palace. Today, the Château de Sully is inhabited by the Mac Mahon's descendants, the Duchess of Magenta and her children.The château's architecture is a blend of medieval and Renaissance styles, featuring four distinct façades and a central courtyard that is considered a masterpiece of the French Renaissance. Inside, visitors can explore nineteen rooms showcasing rich furnishings, paintings, and tapestries.
