Getting There

• Walking

  From the Hôtel de Ville (City Hall), walk uphill towards Le Suquet, following signs for the Musée des Explorations du Monde. The path winds through the old town's narrow streets, passing the Église Notre-Dame d'Espérance. The museum is located at the Place de la Castre, at the top of the hill. Be prepared for a moderately steep walk of approximately 10-15 minutes.

• Public Transport

  Take the Suquet shuttle. This shuttle bus links the Hôtel de Ville to Le Suquet and serves the Musée de la Castre and Notre-Dame d'Espérance. Tickets cost €0.90 and can be purchased from the driver. The 1-day pass costs €4.60. The Palm Bus is a public bus that serves Cannes and the surrounding area. Single tickets cost around €1.50.

• Taxi

  Taxis are available throughout Cannes. A taxi ride from the Cannes train station to the museum is estimated to cost between €15-25. Taxi rates start at €1.50 per km. A 5km ride in Cannes costs about 13.5 EUR.

• Driving

  Driving directly to the Musée des Explorations du Monde is not recommended due to extremely limited parking in Le Suquet. The closest parking is at the Suquet Forville car park (13 Rue des Tambourinaires), approximately a 5-minute walk from the museum. Parking fees at Suquet Forville are around €2.60 per hour.
