Summit Splendor: Discovering Sommet de la Saulire

Getting There

• Car

  If you're driving, begin in Courchevel center and follow the signs for 'La Saulire' or 'Les 3 Vallées'. Navigate to the 'Téléphérique de la Saulire' parking area. The coordinates for the parking are approximately 45.389, 6.611. Park your car here (note that parking may incur a fee). After parking, take the cable car from the Téléphérique de la Saulire up to the Sommet de la Saulire, which will take you directly to the peak.

• Public Transportation

  For those using public transport, start by taking a local bus that connects Courchevel with other nearby resorts. The bus stop in Courchevel is generally located near the town center. Look for a bus heading towards 'La Saulire' or 'Les 3 Vallées'. Disembark at the nearest stop for the Téléphérique de la Saulire. From there, purchase a ticket for the cable car to ascend to Sommet de la Saulire (be aware that ticket prices may vary, usually around 12-20 euros for a round trip).

• Walking

  For the adventurous, if you’re already in the vicinity of the Téléphérique de la Saulire, you can opt to hike to the base of the lift. Follow the marked trails leading from Courchevel toward the lift station. This may take between 30 minutes to an hour, depending on your pace and the trail conditions. Remember to wear suitable hiking gear and bring water, especially in warmer months.
