Car
If you are traveling by car, start from the central town of Sarlat-la-Canéda. Head northeast on D704 towards the D46. After about 20 km, merge onto D47 and continue for another 15 km until you reach the D87 junction. Turn left onto D87 and follow the signs for Mareuil en Périgord. The Château d'Aucors will be located at D87, 24340 Mareuil en Périgord, approximately 8 km down the road. There is parking available near the Château.
Public Transportation
To reach Château d'Aucors via public transportation, take a train from Sarlat-la-Canéda to Périgueux. The train ride costs around €10 and takes about 1 hour. Once you arrive in Périgueux, transfer to a regional bus heading towards Mareuil en Périgord. The bus fare is approximately €3, and the ride takes about 30 minutes. Alight at the nearest bus stop to Château d'Aucors and walk approximately 1 km along D87 to reach the Château.
Taxi
If you prefer a more direct route, consider taking a taxi from Périgueux to Château d'Aucors. This option is more convenient, especially if you have luggage, but it will cost approximately €30-€40 and takes about 30 minutes. Taxis can be booked in advance or found at the train station.
