If you are traveling by car, head towards Rouffignac-Saint-Cernin-de-Reilhac. From the center of Sarlat-la-Canéda, take the D46 road heading northeast for about 18 km. When you approach the village of Rouffignac-Saint-Cernin-de-Reilhac, follow the signs for 'Grotte de Rouffignac'. The cave entrance is located at 'Grotte de Rouffignac, 24580 Rouffignac-Saint-Cernin-de-Reilhac'. Parking is available on-site for visitors.
Public Transportation
If you prefer public transport, take a train from Bordeaux to Les Eyzies-de-Tayac. Upon arrival, you can catch a local bus or taxi to Rouffignac-Saint-Cernin-de-Reilhac. The bus may not run frequently, so it's advisable to check the schedule ahead of time or consider arranging a taxi. Once in Rouffignac, follow the signs to the Grotte de Rouffignac, which is approximately 5 km from the bus stop in the village.

If you arrive in Rouffignac-Saint-Cernin-de-Reilhac by bus, you can walk to the cave. From the bus stop, head southeast on Rue de la Rive for about 1 km. Continue straight until you reach the Grotte de Rouffignac. The walk will take approximately 15-20 minutes, and the path is well-marked with signs directing you to the cave.
