Getting There

• Car

  If you're driving, head towards central Paris. Use the A1 motorway if coming from the north or A6 from the south. Once in Paris, take the périphérique (ring road) and follow signs for Porte de la Conférence. Take the exit for the Quai d'Orsay, then follow signs for the Place de l'Alma. There is parking available nearby, but be aware that it can be expensive, often costing around €3-€4 per hour.

• Metro

  For those using public transportation, take the Paris Métro Line 9 to the Alma-Marceau station. Upon exiting the station, head toward the Place de l'Alma, which is just a short walk away.   If you're coming from the suburbs, take the RER C train to the Pont de l'Alma station. This station is very close to the Flame of Liberty. Once you exit the station, follow the signs to Place de l'Alma. A ticket from the suburbs to Paris typically costs between €3 and €5 depending on your departure station.
