Public Transport

Begin your journey at the Nîmes train station (Gare de Nîmes). Take bus line 10 towards 'Pont du Gard'. After approximately 30 minutes, you will reach the stop 'Pont de l'Europe'. From there, walk across the bridge towards the island. Continue straight, and you will soon reach the île de la Barthelasse.

If you prefer to walk, start at the central square, Place de la Maison Carrée. Head southeast on Rue de la République until you reach the Pont de la Jonque. Cross the bridge, and once you are on the other side, turn right to follow the path along the river. This scenic route will lead you directly to île de la Barthelasse in about 45 minutes.
