La Panacée: Montpellier's Hub for Emerging Art

La Panacée, located in Montpellier's historic L'Écusson district, is a vibrant center for contemporary art, hosting over 120,000 visitors annually. Opened in 2013, it resides in the former Royal College of Medicine, a site of significant historical importance. King Louis XII established the college in the 15th century, and it later became a hub for medical innovation under Henri IV.The 1,645 square meter space features five exhibition halls, a patio, hallways, and a classroom. It serves as both an exhibition space and a lifestyle hub, encouraging interaction between artists, students, and the public. La Panacée is part of MO.CO. (Montpellier Contemporain), an arts ecosystem that includes MO.CO. Hôtel des Collections and MO.CO.
