The Opéra de Lille is a magnificent opera house located on Place du Théâtre in Lille. Designed by architect Louis-Marie Cordonnier, its construction took place between 1907 and 1913, with an official inauguration in 1923. The opera house replaced the Grand Théâtre, which was destroyed by fire in 1903. The architecture of the Opéra de Lille is inspired by the Palais Garnier in Paris, showcasing a neoclassical style. The facade features intricate sculptures and allegorical figures, reflecting the artistic themes within.
