Driving
If driving, start from the town center of Mérindol. Head east on D973, following signs for D24. After approximately 4 kilometers, turn left onto D24. Continue for about 6 kilometers until you reach the parking area at the base of Rochers de la Croix de Fer. Parking is usually free, but arrive early to secure a spot, especially on weekends.
Public Transport
To reach Rochers de la Croix de Fer via public transportation, first take a regional train from Avignon to Cavaillon. From Cavaillon, take bus line 31 towards Mérindol. Once in Mérindol, walk approximately 2 kilometers to the trailhead leading to Rochers de la Croix de Fer. Check local bus schedules in advance, as they may vary. A single bus fare from Cavaillon to Mérindol is approximately €2-€3.
Walking
From Mérindol village, follow the D24 road towards the Rochers de la Croix de Fer. The walk to the trailhead is approximately 2 kilometers and will take you through scenic countryside. Ensure you have appropriate footwear and water for the walk to the start of the hiking trails.
